Welcome the Natural All Around

Along the journey of discovering what love looks and feels like, I have found a love in natural spaces. This love was first discovered in South Korea. Nearly every weekend I spent exploring in a new natural space, where I climbed mountains, picnicked solo in parks, camped, walked, took amazing pics or went for a temple stay. Every time I breathed in the fresh air, I was fully present. The vibrant colors seemed to beam through me with a rush of comforting warmth; I refer to this feeling as my “heart smiling”. It has taken some years but I finally have an understanding of how love feels. Love that is not physical, carnal or bound to another person. One of my therapists recommends “forest bathing” as an essential place to incorporate on the path to healing.

I was not familiar with the term forest bathing until after I returned stateside. Turns out it is a recommended practice for a happier, healthier and longer life. Since, I’ve returned to the US I have been on a mission to find local beautiful outdoors trails and parks to walk through. Hearing the birds chirp, running stream water and listening to the trees speak as the wind rustles their leaves is heaven.

Which natural spaces do you like to embrace during daylight? Drop a recommendation in the comments.
